Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a dedicated Landscaping Crew Lead to supervise and inspire our landscaping team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our crew works effectively and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.



  • Assist in supervising a crew primarily composed of individuals with disabilities, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Coordinate safety gear and equipment safeguards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

  • Organize, plan, and direct landscaping and maintenance operations, including scheduling work for timely completion.

  • Maintain the goals, standards, and objectives of the facility and company by performing final inspections of completed work.

  • Inspect crew equipment daily, addressing malfunctions and providing training on proper usage and maintenance.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks at the end of each day to keep equipment and work areas in top condition.

  • Use weed whackers in areas where mowers cannot be used and promptly address any failed areas.

  • Complete daily paperwork for all assigned areas and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.


Requirements:



  • Minimum of (1) One year's landscaping experience (Preferred).

  • Minimum of (1) One year's Supervisory experience (Preferred).


Physical Demands:



  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials (often up to 50 pounds or more).

  • Work long hours outdoors, requiring stamina for activities such as digging, planting, and operating equipment.

  • Constantly move around job sites, including bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing for extended periods.

  • Operate landscaping machinery and tools, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.

  • Maintain good hand-eye coordination and balance while performing tasks on uneven terrain.

  • Inspect work for quality and accuracy, requiring close visual attention.


Environmental Demands:



  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight.

  • Potential exposure to allergens such as pollen, dust, and insects.

  • Work near moving equipment and tools, requiring awareness of surroundings to ensure safety.

  • Exposure to loud noise from equipment and machinery.

  • Work in areas with dust, dirt, and debris, which may affect air quality.

  • May require early mornings, late evenings, or weekend work depending on project needs.
