LSSI is seeking a full-time masters level social worker/counselor to work in their STEP-UPprogram on the Northwest side of Chicago.STEP-UPis a school-based counseling program that targets students who are struggling in the academic setting due to emotional/behavioral issues. The paid training you need to learn, grow, and succeed! EssentialFunctions: The School-Based Therapist will be responsible for facilitating referrals from the school. Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plan. Provide individual, family and group therapy, as well as case management services in a school setting. Participate in clinical staffing/IEP meetings. Communicate with school social work/counseling staff and complete authorizations for treatment. Position Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong clinical skills and be familiar with Medicaid and/or managed care. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
