Role and Responsibilities:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Custodial Supervisor to lead our team and ensure our spaces are sparkling! You'll spend most of your time on the floor, actively leading by example and inspiring the custodial crew. The Custodial Supervisors primary responsibility will be to maintain clean and safe spaces for our team, guests, and everyone in between.



  • Be present, walk the floor, and directly engage with the custodial team; that consist of adults of all abilities to ensure they have everything they need to succeed.

  • Actively participate in custodial tasks, such as floor care, trash removal, and surface cleaning, to ensure work gets done effectively.

  • Lead by example, offering guidance and positive reinforcement to custodial leads and crew, especially individuals with disabilities.

  • Perform daily inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met throughout the facility.

  • Help create and adjust work schedules for custodial crew, ensuring optimal coverage and crew utilization (without responsibility for full-scale reporting).

  • Monitor and manage custodial supplies, including ordering, tracking, and ensuring adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment.

  • Assist with training new custodial crew on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.

  • Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of custodial equipment, ensuring everything is in working order for the team.

  • Ensure all cleaning procedures and tasks follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Monitor the cleanliness and appearance of all facilities, ensuring that all standards are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative team atmosphere where everyone feels valued and encouraged to do their best.

  • Address custodial-related issues promptly, whether they involve team challenges or maintenance concerns, and provide solutions that keep everything on track.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of (2) years' supervisory or (3) years' Team Lead experience (Preferred)

  • Minimum of (1) year custodial/janitorial experience (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of Cleaning Standards and safety protocols.

  • Valid driver's license(Preferred)


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience working with persons with disabilities or disabling conditions (Preferred)

  • Strong Time Management to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Problem-Solving skills to address challenges quickly and effectively.

  • Customer Service Skills for positive interactions with staff and visitors.

  • Training & Mentorship experience, especially with individuals with disabilities.

  • Conflict Resolution and maintaining team harmony.

  • Attention to Detail for high-quality cleaning standards.


Physical Demands:



  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as cleaning supplies

  • Spend long hours standing and walking during cleaning tasks.

  • Frequently bend, kneel, and crouch to clean floors, surfaces, and restrooms.

  • Perform repetitive tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

  • Good hand-eye coordination is required for operating cleaning equipment and tools.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided



Environmental Demands:



  • Work in various environments, including offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.

  • Possible exposure to heat, cold, rain, or snow while performing outdoor tasks.

  • Use of cleaning chemicals; must follow safety guidelines.

  • Exposure to noise from cleaning equipment and machinery.
