Mental Health Therapist - Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This long-term (6+ months) community-based service delivery model integrates mental health, psychiatry, nursing, housing, vocational/educational, crisis, and case management. This program is created to serve individuals with psychosis in the community our community-based system of care, these services help adults who need a higher level of treatment and assistance than ARMHS or TCM. The Mental Health Threapist is responsible for developing therapeutic alliance, providing therapy, conducting diagnostic assessments, and completing individualized treatment planning and interventions.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, business hours, Flexible schedule

Hiring Range - Salary variable on licensure and qualifications.

  • Unlicensed: $57,000 - $62,000, plus $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates
  • Licensed: $74,000 - $80,000, plus $2,000 hiring bonus for external candidates

Main Job Duties:

  • Completes diagnostic assessments, intake meetings with clients and their legal guardian as appropriate, discharge reports, treatment plans, case notes, case reviews and other assessments while maintaining regular contact with client, client's legal guardian and collaborative partners.
  • Maintain all certifications, licenses and knowledge related to the delivery of services and maintaining clinical skills.
  • Provide individual, group and family therapy for clients and family members. Individual therapy and family therapy may be provided in center, school, home or in the community depending on position.
  • Attend all clinical supervision sessions, staff meetings, case consultations, and completes required agency trainings as scheduled
  • Assess and identify the developmental needs of clients to assist in implementing goals and objectives accordingly.
  • Act as an advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
  • Completes billing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required Qualifications: Unlicensed Clinical Trainee:

  • Master's Degree in a behavior science or related field
  • Pursuing a professional license in one of the following: LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW (Supervision towards licensure available and built into your schedule
  • Two years of full-time experience working with people with serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders

Required Qualifications: Licensed Mental Health Therapist

  • Master's Degree in the behavioral sciences
  • Current clinical license as a mental health professional in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT) with no restrictions.
    • o OR proof of current clinical licensure as described above within 60 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strongly prefer current clinical license as a mental health professional in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT) with no restrictions
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure experience in providing services to individuals with co-occurring disorders (MH/CD).
  • Prior mental health experience.
