Accounts Receivable Clerk AR0125 Sanders Brothers Construction is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable clerk. This position is part of a team of ten accountants and will be a major contributor to Sanders Brother's 60+ years of success in the construction industry. Our corporate office is located in North Charleston. This is a full-time 40 hours a week in-person position. The hours are typically 8am to 5pm Mon-Thurs. 8am-4pm on Fridays. Responsibilities include: Processes job billings Processes material sales invoices Reminding customers about upcoming payments or past-due accounts Making electronic deposits to company bank accounts Keeping accurate records of payments received from customers Communication with project managers as to the status of billings and customer balances due Creating reports for supervisors as requested Various other tasks not related to AR to maintain internal control requirements. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associate's degree in accounting (preferred) 2-4 years related experience Excel experience is required Customer service skills using appropriate tact and professionalism requiring good oral and written communication skills Strong analytical ability Effective time management with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work both independently and as a member of the accounting team. Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to take initiative and exercise good judgment Must pass a background check and obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment. Preferred Skills Accounting experience in the construction industry Experience using Vista Viewpoint is a plus, however not a requirement.
