Position Summary

The Associate Sourcing & Brand Sustainability Manager drives and executes strategic sourcing initiatives to address brand business needs within their product categories, ensures developments adhere to the seasonal calendar, protects the quality integrity of our products, maximizes profitability, identifies sourcing strategies to help balance our global landscape, and helps implement and drive WSI Corporate & Brand Sustainability initiatives. This position leads with critical thinking, is analytical, curious, results and detail-oriented, has exceptional communication skills, and thrives in a cross-functional environment by building strong partnerships and engaging all levels of the organization.

This is a hybrid role - 4 days/week onsite in our Portland office required.

Responsibilities:



  • Strong project management skills inclusive of developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results to cross-functional partners and WSGO teams.
  • Develop and implement a product sourcing strategy that factors the core competency of a country, supplier capabilities, capacities, and growth plans, and factors any vendor or country risk.
  • Serve as primary contact to all agents and suppliers in managing the assigned categories.
  • Manage sourcing processes and procedures in the assigned categories to successfully execute and deliver WSI products on time, which meet the design, quality, sustainability initiative, and value mission of the brand.
  • Drive strategic vendor rationalization (including re-sourcing activities) to drive cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Monitor all pre-production activities, identifies potential challenges, and develops action plans to address and resolve issues. Works closely with product development, merchandising, inventory, WSGO offices, and quality assurance teams to ensure all pre-production deliverables are completed according to the project timeline.
  • Create and maintain departmental tracking tools and data collection.
  • Communicate project status and Work-In-Process with WSGO offices, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback on cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Troubleshoot production/delivery problems in the assigned categories.
  • Drive execution of corporate level sustainability goals within the brand, and support executing brand level initiatives that compliment brand identity and architecture.
  • Some travel may be required



Qualifications



  • 1-3 years production, sourcing, QA or buying experience in a retail or manufacturing organization
  • 4+ years college degree (BA/BS) preferred
  • Proficient use of MS Office Products - Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
