Community Outreach Specialist (CONTRACT) - Crisis Services (Mobile Crisis)

Salary Range

Base Salary: $100,000 - $105,000/annually

The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, experience, and/or FTE.

Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes, the community, and in our clinics. We strive for excellence in clinical care as we serve those living with mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis, unstable housing, and trauma. Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.

Position Summary

This contract position will focus on identifying, developing, and deploying innovative outreach strategies aimed at enhancing awareness of the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Services programs at Canvas Health, both for individuals and the community. The position will involve assessing the needs of the mobile crisis teams, performing an analysis of community partners, inventorying existing resources and contacts, identifying methods to reduce stigma and other obstacles, creating more effective outreach materials and messaging, and formulating a plan for ongoing efforts after the contract period ends.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree of equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
  • 5 years' experience in a communications, marketing, or public relations role, preferably in a nonprofit or cooperative organization
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion internally and externally


Preferred Qualification



  • Experience with Non-profit
  • Experience with Crisis services
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.)
