Overview

The Item Processing Specialist will provide Utility relief for various Item Processing/Data Entry positions, work with incoming/outgoing FedEx shipments, assist with any deliveries to the Tech Center, and perform all Data Entry duties.

Responsibilities

    Perform teller transactions on Teller Insight for Tech Center personnel
  • Coordinate with the Relationship Manager for mail-in deposits to get approval for immediate credit or to place a hold
  • Sort mail that comes in from the local branches via courier
  • Process mail-in deposits in Teller Insight
  • Process mail-in deposits and mail-in loan payments via ImageCentre Branch Capture
  • Process all general ledger work for Deposit Ops in ImageCentre Branch Capture
  • Monitor Canadian and foreign items for branch capture to ensure these are pulled and routed to the Tech Center for collection
  • Perform utility relief for Item Processing areas as needed
  • Maintain FedEx supplies, setup the users and new branches in the FedEx system, and create labels and send out the FedEx packages
  • Maintain mailroom supplies and set up boxes for new locations
  • Perform Branch Capture duties in order to assist branches
  • Approve and transmit ACH files for specific, assigned customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of job related experience
  • Ability to deal professionally with bank personnel and personnel of other financial institutions
  • Good communication and grammar skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, arithmetic and advanced balancing, and reconciliation skills
  • Good knowledge of banking transactions and clearing processes
  • Good organizational skills
