Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency.

Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department, ECT Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs.

This position is for a part-time social worker on the inpatient unit. The inpatient Social Worker provides clinical services on units and this position is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual and family meetings, daily process group, participation in treatment team planning, processing involuntary certifications, discharge planning/case management services, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

This position is 24 hours per week, Thursday-Saturday, day shifts.

Supervision towards licensure available.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • Master's degree in social work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or social services related field REQUIRED
  • Licensure preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years mental health experience preferred. Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health inpatient setting preferred.
  • License eligible degree required; must be able to register with DORA and be willing to work towards LCSW, LMFT or LPC if not already licensed.
  • Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice is preferred.
  • Social Workers must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults, adolescents, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting. Full time social workers have an assigned unit but will float to other units as needed.
  • This is an exempt position, stipends available for additional work over caseload.
