PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a customer focused, results oriented and critical thinking problem solver, with innovative and modern approaches to lead our clinical systems team. The Epic Director, Sr is responsible for the management, support, and optimization of applications and solutions to support our patients, members, clinicians, business, and operational teams. This role will maintain strategic relationships with our stakeholders and other support teams to ensure satisfaction and global system integrity. This role plays an influential role in defining and supporting governance across multiple entities to adapt and standardize as necessary to support and maintain relationships and system stability. As a key leader in our Clinical Systems organization, this individual will be responsible for exceeding the highest SLAs and proactively tracking and suggesting changes to our implementation methodology to ease support of future initiatives. This leader will need to have a focus on strategies related to developing strong relationships while reducing overall cost to maintain our systems. Innovation around ancillary offerings to simplify variation while improving value proposition for our partners is critical for this role. You will have a lot of focus on the Epic application but will need to revolutionize the complete portfolio to best support our partners, team members, and inevitably the patients. Outside of technology, s/he will need to develop a strong staff with being the employer of choice at the heart of every decision. If we want to be the best, we need to retain and attract the best. Expect a role that will evolve over time and breakdown any silos within the organization. This leader is focused on support, implementations, project management, infrastructure, and any other component necessary to ensure the success of our larger organization. A successful leader in this position partners closely with all of the TJU portfolio of products and business lines to ensure a cohesive experience, particularly when requests or needs challenge the architectural limitations of another domains foundational configuration. This leader is intended to provide creative solutions as a strategic thought partner to customers, advocate for their needs, and propose new product offerings as necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Leads efforts to define requirements, deliverables, objectives, resources, and project schedules Ensures all stakeholders are well informed and knowledgeable of key issues, risks and resource requirements, budget and cost factors, and technical challenges. Demonstrates leadership by identifying and mitigating tasks, conflict, and communication. Effectively manages the Epic and related projects to successful completion in a matrix project management organization serving critical healthcare operations Maintains the scope and work plan and ensures all milestones and deliverables are on time and budget. The internal communication of project strategies, high level deliverables, plans, and schedules. Definition, adoption, and consistent execution of system requirements, communication, change management, issues management, and post-implementation support. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or clinical related field preferred. _________________________________________________________________________CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:Current Epic certification in at least one clinical application is strongly preferred. Preferred: Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) or a program recognized by the Project Management Institute (local or national group).ITIL Foundation certification is strongly preferred when present in environment._________________________________________________________________________EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:10+ years successful experience in clinic operations or medical informatics. Minimum of 3 years hospital operational experience in a clinical capacity4+ years successful experience in strategic planning and execution, serving in a management role, working as a change agent and providing company-wide leadership. Management of multi-million dollar project budget.5+ years experience in implementing information systems, clinical initiatives and other programs, including electronic medical records with progressive IT experience or a combination of education and experience in an IT environment required.Experience in leading/managing all or a part of the clinical components of at least one Epic implementation beginning to end.Extensive experience managing projects, including within healthcare organizations. Includes execution and control of scope, budgets, schedules, issues, risks, testing, training and end user adoption.
