We are seeking an experienced Vertical Marketing Manager to lead marketing efforts for our strategic verticals. This role is ideal for a marketing professional with expertise in developing and executing comprehensive marketing programs that drive growth, establish the company as a trusted partner, and deliver impactful results across various industry verticals, including SLED (state, local government, and education), healthcare, finance, and more.

The Vertical Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and play a pivotal role in creating targeted strategies, supporting RFP opportunities, and ensuring success in key vertical markets. This individual must possess leadership skills to manage complex programs, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive initiatives that contribute to the company's overall growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Vertical Marketing Strategy: Create and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for priority verticals (e.g., SLED, healthcare, finance). Develop tailored go-to-market plans, messaging frameworks, and marketing programs for diverse industry audiences.

  • Industry-Specific Campaigns and Programs: Design and implement targeted campaigns, events, and lead generation initiatives for strategic verticals. Work closely with the campaign team to ensure alignment with vertical-specific goals and market dynamics.

  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of tailored content, including case studies, white papers, blog posts, and presentations. Ensure materials are customized to meet the unique needs of vertical stakeholders, emphasizing value and relevance.

  • RFP and Procurement Support: Lead efforts to optimize RFP submissions and procurement opportunities, including E-rate for SLED and other procurement programs for additional verticals. Develop collateral and campaigns that resonate with decision-makers and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes across priority verticals. Use insights to refine strategies and establish the company as a leader in these markets.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, and broader Marketing teams to align initiatives, provide sales enablement tools, and support account-based marketing (ABM) for high-priority accounts across verticals.

  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Track and analyze the success of vertical marketing programs. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, report ROI, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive marketing strategies for each priority vertical.

  • Targeted support for RFPs and procurement opportunities across industries.

  • Lead generation programs tailored to specific vertical audiences.

  • Vertical-specific sales enablement materials, including playbooks, presentations, and collateral.

  • Event strategies and execution plans for trade shows and conferences in strategic verticals.

  • Performance metrics and reporting on campaign outcomes and ROI.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on vertical or program management, preferably in the telecom or technology sector

  • Preferred knowledge of the SLED market, including procurement processes, RFPs, and E-rate

  • Understanding of basic telecom products

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field

  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing programs that drive growth and engagement

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and presentations

  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Highspot, Hubspot Microsoft Office, Monday.com or similar platforms

  • Collaborative and team-oriented with strong leadership and relationship-building skills

  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to challenges

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time

Salary

Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $74,384 - $112,752.
