Talgo Inc. is looking for Electricians with 2 to 3 years of experience for an exciting job opportunity working on trains! Electricians provide support in the electrical work performed on all rolling stock equipment. Independent work and judgment may be required at times.

What You'll Be Doing:



  • Carry out medium complexity repair supporting Electrical Work Orders on rolling stock projects.
  • Perform operations of medium complexity, including simple installations and interfaces such as car lighting, cabinets, air conditioning, communication signals, and interaction between cars.
  • Repair and wire complex cabinets without supervision.
  • Verify the operation of installations coming from outside (continuity tests).
  • Detect and repair, with supervision, faults of medium complexity (e.g., loose cables that do not require complex apparatus).
  • Make proposals for improvement on wiring (on the project, not on the functionality yet).
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • Couple and uncouple electrically and mechanically cars, compositions, etc.
  • Carry out mechanical assemblies using manual machines.
  • Have knowledge of crimping most of the connectors of the projects in progress.


Electrician Requirements:



  • Electrician with a minimum of 3-4 or more years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
  • Perform repairs of medium complexity.
  • Perform any assembly with some supervision and preventive and corrective disassembly on all machines, including repair of installations, replacement of components, and repair of transmission heads, buffers.
  • Locate most of the breakdowns and solve the simple ones (probes, gauges, etc.).
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Carry out any type of repair on installations, machines, etc.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in running and connecting wire harnesses.
  • Proficient in connecting wiring harnesses into complex electrical cabinets.
  • Experienced in the use of various electrical tools (multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Proficient in soldering, crimping, and connector assembly.
  • Experienced electrical system troubleshooter.
  • Proficient in various aspects of electrical Facility Preventative Maintenance.
  • Experience in a transportation sector manufacturing electrician position is a plus.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a team member in a manufacturing environment.
  • Independent, self-starter, willing to work independently or as a team.
  • Good communication, listening, and analytical skills.
