Day Shift Cook Operator

Description

Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as our Filler Operator on our processed cheese line.

Job Duties



  • Responsible for the cooking of cheese for loaf and slice lines.
  • Addition of ingredients as specified by the recipe.
  • Monitoring of cheese cook temperature.
  • Notification to cheese grinders as a blender becomes empty.
  • Communication with filler operator and lab technician on cheese quality.
  • Perform sanitation duties and warehouse pile over duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must be able to pass forklift training and maintain license.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.


Other requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalents
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Must adhere to and follow all GMP's, SOP's, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.
  • Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment of both food and employee safety.


Physical capabilities



  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to climb ladders occasionally.
