Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Materials Engineer to work in our Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) Department at Idaho National Laboratory. You will apply your skills to promote out of this world science. Few people can say they have touched something that is now on another planet or helped build the fastest man-made object ever made. A career with the Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) Department at the Idaho National Laboratory will provide you with opportunities to work on radioisotope power systems supporting National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) missions. You will report to the RPS Department Manager. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off. Responsibilities Include: You will apply engineering principles and methods to problems relative to metals, ceramics, glasses, and polymers. Related to the extraction, refinement, and production of materials. May develop new uses for known materials, work with composite materials, or may specialize in one type of material such as graphite, metal and metal alloys, ceramics and glass, plastics and polymers, and naturally occurring materials.
