Program Manager Pay Grade: 619 Location: Central Office Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Office Environment WC - 8810 Brief Description The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of assigned program and project initiatives to further the strategic objectives of the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished through developing and managing water resource and infrastructure projects across the Brazos basin, including development of new water supply, dam facilities, water conveyance facilities, and treatment facilities projects. Responsibilities include planning, managing, and developing projects; participating in BRA's risk-based capital planning and management initiatives; serving as project manager for water resource and infrastructure projects; participating in project management trainings; participating in developing project management processes, tools, and templates; supervising project management staff; maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and other entities. This is accomplished through proficiency in project/program management; knowledge of BRA processes and procedures; collaboration skills; attending and speaking at public meetings; corresponding with stakeholders, local, state, and federal agencies; developing business strategies in order to establish business partnerships; interacting with internal employees and external consultants; participating in the planning, development and management of major projects; and administering existing projects. Other responsibilities include providing reports to management; preparing departmental and project budgets; maintaining a positive relationship with media representatives and the public; preparing and presenting reports and action items to the Board of Directors; acting as a liaison between the BRA and project stakeholders; working with stakeholders to answer questions; scheduling and planning meetings; and any other duties as assigned. Today, BRA's staff develops and distributes water supplies, provides water and wastewater treatment, monitors water quality, and pursues water conservation through public education programs.
