We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Otolaryngology team. As a key member of our inpatient care team, you will manage inpatient and Emergency Department (ED) otolaryngology consults, perform bedside procedures, and collaborate with residents and attending physicians to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties *Serve as the primary contact for weekday inpatient and ED otolaryngology consults. *Evaluate and manage a range of ENT conditions, including: oAirway obstruction or stridor. oTracheostomy care, troubleshooting, and decannulation. oEpistaxis management. oPeritonsillar abscess (PTA) evaluation and management. oOtologic issues (e.g., otitis externa, mastoiditis, hearing loss). oHead and neck infections (abscesses, cellulitis). oDysphagia and aspiration concerns. oForeign body removal (nasal, ear, or pharyngeal). *Perform bedside ENT procedures, such as: oFlexible nasopharyngoscopy and laryngoscopy. oNasal packing for epistaxis. oForeign body removal. oIncision and drainage of superficial neck abscesses. oTracheostomy tube changes and care. oCollaborate with residents and attending physicians to manage: *Complex or emergent cases requiring multidisciplinary input. *Inpatient cases requiring ongoing care and updated treatment plans. ________________________________________ What You Can Expect Onboarding and Training *Structured Support: *Shadow the consult team during your first 6 months to learn workflows, procedures, and best practices. *Begin managing consults independently after 6 months, with ongoing attending supervision and regular feedback tailored to your progress. *Gradual Autonomy: Your responsibilities will grow as you gain confidence and experience in the role, with continued access to mentorship and support. A Typical Day *Evaluate and manage new inpatient or ED consults. *Perform bedside procedures based on clinical needs. *Attend case discussions, grand rounds, or journal clubs to expand your expertise. *Partner with the inpatient team to address ongoing care needs for ENT patients. Professional Development *Access ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional ENT conferences. *Enhance your skills through regular mentorship and case-based learning opportunities. *Participate in educational activities such as grand rounds, journal clubs, and specialty-focused training. Work-Life Balance *A predictable weekday schedule: *Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. *No weekends or on-call responsibilities, ensuring time for personal and professional balance. ________________________________________ Who We're Looking For We are seeking a team-oriented and motivated APP eager to grow their skills in otolaryngology. While prior ENT experience is a plus, it is not required. We are committed to providing the training and mentorship necessary for your success in this role.
