Your Role With Us:

  • Perform complex data analysis to identify and pursue saving initiatives for all product and supplies contracts; provide recommendations to Salem Health leadership and key stakeholders including but not limited to clinical executives, directors, managers, physicians, and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Serve as a communications expert and liaison between key stakeholders including within product standardization committees; facilitate and initiate contract negotiations with vendors, minimizing risk and financial impact to the organization.
  • Use market intelligence and market research to assess the current state of the organization's product utilization based on opportunities for cost savings, standardization, and quality improvements; manage contract review and utilization for all supply agreements relating to the Group Purchasing Organization to optimize savings and program offerings.
  • Direct and lead product utilization review initiatives with clinical departments to understand their business goals and user needs, and communicate findings and recommendations effectively; assess the impact of product usage on both financial and patient outcomes through collaboration with clinicians, Supply Chain, Infection Prevention, and Risk Management.
  • Process new product requests through assessment of impact and providing recommendations; conduct business reviews with vendors to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of quality vendor performance.
  • Manage complex bidding processes and sourcing opportunities including RFP/RFQ/RFI projects; conduct regular savings initiatives performance reviews and track results of the data.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information in all dealings with suppliers and other non-hospital entities to ensure all Health System and Legal privacy requirements are maintained.

    Background/Expertise:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, healthcare, or analytics, is required; a nursing degree is preferred. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, where each year of higher education satisfies two (2) years of required experience.
    • Minimum three (3) years of related experience in data analytics, supply chain management, or a healthcare related field that included demonstrated cost containment or data analysis required; experience managing and implementing process improvement initiatives required.
    • Proficient in data analytics, problem solving, and contract analysis skills required; demonstrated ability to drive positive business outcomes required.
    • Experience with MS Office applications including demonstrated ability to use Excel formulas required; proficient in Epic preferred.
    • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines required; demonstrated experience working with and presenting to multiple levels of stakeholders required.
    • Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally required; strong negotiation skills preferred.
    • Knowledge of clinical practices and product utilization preferred; knowledge and understanding of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) preferred.
