This position is an integral part of the Latin America Region's month-end closing, management reporting and analysis, and other general responsibilities. This position will manage multiple international ledgers and currencies for reporting purposes across LATAM countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay). Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for managing the month-end close responsibilities for the LATAM accounting team. The critical nature of this portion of the position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a high degree of timeliness and accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of LATAM month-end close.
- Responsible for reviewing results and collaborating with the local teams to ensure completeness.
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the data flow between source systems.
- Ensuring all journal entries are booked.
- Troubleshooting accounting issues experienced by our local teams.
- Assist in ad hoc analysis.
- Responsible for Quarterly and Annual Procedures
- Complete the Quarterly Analytics reports for LATAM for P&L and Balance Sheet
- Responsible to the review of Visual Lease Reconciliation
- Provide support for audit requests (internal and external including statutory audits)
- Responsible for managing LATAM OneStream and Oracle Cloud dimensions.
- Point person for the creation and update of system dimensions.
- Collaborate with DRM team to complete needed updates.
- Collaborate with the mapping team to complete the accurate mapping between R12 and Oracle Cloud
- Collaborate with BPI for any changes needed in CVR rules.
- Responsible for the review of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Responsible for working with the local team controllers for the review and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure reconciling items are current, supported and cleared in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for maintaining and being the point of contact for the RCM reconciliation module.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team during the annual operating plan process and monthly forecast.
- Involved in other ad hoc projects and initiative as defined by management and business needs.
- Drive Continuous improvement mindset and initiatives among team members.
- Supporting and ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
- Supporting system implementations and ensure local requirements are met/addressed.
- Responsible for managing others.
- Oversee day-to day responsibilities.
- Provide coaching and developmental feedback.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA/MBA or progress towards either is a plus.
Language
- Foreign language (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting, finance, or audit experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Proven assertive project leadership skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience with OneStream, Microstrategy and Oracle
- Legacy ERP experiences (particularly Oracle 11i and 12R)
- Statutory experience
