We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities: Oversee operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of building steam, water, and plumbing systems Monitor and maintain heating, cooling, and water equipment Troubleshoot and respond to operational and emergency situations Communicate effectively with facility managers and work order requestors Schedule equipment downtime to minimize impact on end users Prioritize and assign work orders efficiently Track completion rates and drive team efficiency Coordinate with facility managers and contracted maintenance workers Maintain a clean and safe working environment Identify and remediate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues Comply with established training standards and policies The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Qualifications: Minimum requirements: 5+ years of experience in general piping/plumbing systems, cage washers, steam traps, heat exchangers, and control valves Knowledge of mechanical systems and boiler controls/operation Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Preferred requirements: Good written and oral communication skills Proficiency in basic computer skills and relevant software (MS Office, Outlook, DataStream) Experience with building automation systems Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage competing priorities Experience in facilities management or related field | |
