Some of your day-to-day:
The Data Center Lead Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day IT operations at the Delaware Data Center and Delaware offices. They are responsible for performing or coordinating all activities within these rooms.
The Data Center Lead is responsible for implementing the standards and procedures set forth in the client's Data Center Procedures Manual and the Data Center Access Control Policies. They must be fluent in the standards and practices of the Data Center industry. They are responsible for handling work requests, change management, and documentation of their work.
Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of Data Center Critical Infrastructure Systems and equipment and the ability to recognize system issues and respond accordingly.
Responsibility for compliance with the client's Change Management System for the DC team.
Conduct routine and ongoing assessments of the infrastructure system operations. Perform tests, and rounds, and analyze data to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment.
Responsibility for managing the IT work order system (ServiceNow) to ensure that all internal SLAs are met.
Ensure there is appropriate site coverage and emergency response to infrastructure failures & Delaware alarms.
Availability to work shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work closely with the Critical Site Operations (CSO) & Aladdin Engineering Platform teams to provide guidance/expertise on design goals, operational characteristics, and infrastructure systems to ensure efficient, maintainable operations.
Performing tape rotations and custody transfers.
Implementing Data Destruction procedures.
Maintain inventory management via Schneider Electric's Data Center Operations (DCO)/IT Advisor (ITA).
Supervision and coordination of data center and IDF cleaning services.
Shipping and receiving of all Data Center equipment and documenting these transactions.
Testing and tracing network cabling infrastructure.
Racking and stacking of servers.
Installation of servers and network cabling infrastructure. This includes terminating and testing fiber, Twinax, Cat 6, and COAX cables.
Weekly reporting of Data Center Inventory.
Attend team meetings and project calls as required.
Provide administrative management (performance reviews, salary management, recruitment coordination) for 8+ direct reports (JLL).

Who we are looking for:
Required
5+ years of experience in data center operations; networking and data communication fundamentals, stacking and racking,
Knowledge of mission-critical cooling systems, power systems, mechanical systems, and fire suppression systems.
Working familiarity with Microsoft Office and Work Order Systems/CMMSs.
A valid state-issued driver's license
Must be willing to travel as needed to support regional offices in Philadelphia PA, Princeton NJ, Washington DC, and Ashburn VA.
Availability for 7/24/365 coverage and emergency response to infrastructure and IT equipment failures.

Preferred
Military experience
IT, Electrical, or HVAC certifications or licenses

PHYSICAL WORK ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:
Walking large, campus-like settings.
Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.
Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.

Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift with on-call required 24/7.
Pay $103,000 - 135,000 depending on experience. This job also offers a 10% targeted bonus of the annual salary.
