Job Summary This position is responsible for performing complex financial aid processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the reconciliation of scholarship and federal programs. Key responsibilities include coordinating office workflow, providing training to staff, and serving as a liaison with both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves resolving escalated financial aid issues and researching regulatory and technology-related challenges. Essential Functions 45% - Oversee the coordination of financial aid programs and activities, ensuring consistent implementation of policies and procedures while optimizing office workflows. Research and interpret guidelines and regulations, offering specialized advising and processing services to staff, students, and the public from diverse backgrounds. 25% - Reconcile federal programs, including Federal Work-Study, Federal Pell Grants, and Federal Student Loans, exercising professional judgment when needed. 10% - Manage office workflow, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures. 10% - Communicate effectively with students, internal stakeholders, and external agencies, while developing and maintaining program materials, reports, presentations, and documentation. 10% - Provide training and orientation to staff, as assigned, and perform other duties aligned with the responsibilities of the position. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. Must be able to access federal financial aid databases. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
