Cianbro Equipment is seeking a skilled Crane Mechanic to join our team in Pittsfield, Maine. This position involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a wide variety of cranes and related heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical expertise, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Travel is limited, with most work being based in Pittsfield.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various cranes, including friction, crawler, gantry, and RT cranes.
• Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, defects, or safety concerns and ensure compliance with manufacturer and OSHA standards.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using the company's documentation systems.
• Order and manage parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
• Provide technical guidance to operators and other team members as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Training or technical certifications in crane function or repair preferred.
• Manitowoc Crane training a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on cranes or similar heavy equipment.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with crane-specific software and diagnostic tools.
• Crane operator certification from an accredited organization (e.g., NCCCO, NCCER) is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic, hand, power, and repair tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
