Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will assist the General Manager with efficient and profitable operations. This position will provide leadership to assigned functions and events.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, supervise and schedule staff
  • Monitor processes to ensure quality operations and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Assist with inventory control procedures and operations


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • High School diploma

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent vocational/technical training

Preferred Experience
  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience


Proposed Salary

$20.70 - $25.88 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

ABILITIES
  • Consistently exhibit engaging customer service
  • Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
  • Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
  • Ability to operate commercial food equipment

KNOWLEDGE
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
  • Working knowledge of food preparation and serving techniques

SKILLS
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
