GENERAL FUNCTION

The Account Executive is responsible for developing, growing and retaining key strategic partnerships. This role fosters relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supports operational needs and implements growth objectives of the assigned Strategic Partner client(s). The Account Executive helps to achieve annual membership, retention, revenue and profitability goals. EyeMed's Strategic Partner segment includes many large national and regional health and/or specialty insurance plans.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Builds and maintains strong relationships cross-functionally within health plan partners at multiple levels and across commercial and/or government segments.
  • Supports strategic business plans focused on retention, growing business and achieving financial targets for assigned Strategic Partner client(s).
  • Consults with external Strategic Partner stakeholders to identify and achieve goals of both EyeMed and the Strategic Partner organizations.
  • Successfully represents client needs within internal organization and influences key internal teams to achieve client focused expectations and implement client requests.
  • Identifies client influencers and develops strong partnerships.
  • Collaborates with Strategic Partner sales and marketing organizations to deliver new business growth objectives.
  • Maintains solid understanding and ensures consistent delivery of Strategic Partner's ongoing operational and reporting requirements and expectations.
  • Serves as a thought leader and vision care expert internally and externally to develop innovative processes / successes.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years account management experience, preferably within the health benefits
  • Possess an Accident and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire
  • Exceptional verbal and written professional communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Demonstrated successful results and accomplishments in account management based role
  • Experience in building and negotiating contract terms with large, complex clients



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Licensed health/life insurance
  • Revenue growth strategy plan development
  • Experience in the health insurance field with exposure to group benefits

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
