Job Summary:

This position will provide clinical care for patients with general neurological disorders, primarily in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The position will include clinical service and teaching. Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the outpatient general neurology clinic, inpatient consults, EEG interpretation, and call. Outpatient evaluations will occur primarily at Children's Colorado Outpatient Care at Briargate while inpatient services will occur at Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs the specific make up of clinical activity may vary based on the Section's needs. Key Responsibilities:
- On-going follow-up care both in clinic and by phone, for neurology patients.
- Participation in hospital coverage service initiatives which may include inpatient consults, EEG interpretation, and call.
- Participation in regional outreach clinics.
- Collaboration of patient care with staff neurologists as appropriate.
- Teaching clinical care concepts to NPs, PAs, Residents and RNs.
- Your duties in this faculty position will include teaching, clinical, scholarly and service responsibilities.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Assistant Professor:
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- 0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
Associate Professor:
- 6 or more years of clinical experience
- Ability to obtain CO medical license
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in a Child Neurology practice: Private or Academic
- Previous experience performing work in quality improvement projects in Child Neurology.
- Previous teaching experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills; both written and orally
- Broad knowledge and clinical skills in pediatric neurology
- Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $216,000 to $245,000 Associate Professor: $243,341 to $270,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
