GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Process Engineer primary responsibilities entail the ability turn ideas into concepts, lead projects, complete deliverables, and be a change agent for an organization who constantly pushes for new, improved methods and rejects the status quo. Provide process expertise and support for daily production with a strong focus in improving quality and yields in Lens cutting and thin film coating. Conduct introduction of new equipment and new process with a focus in quality and planning.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for lowering cost, while meeting all quality standards set forth by the company in the Cutting/Thin film coating department
  • The successful candidate will work side by side with other Engineers and Production staff to identify inefficiencies and then determine the best ways to bring metrics in line with financial goals
  • Manages qualification and successful implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment on the production floor
  • Responsible for leading and implementing operational excellence and continuous improvement projects
  • Coaches team of Technicians on using Lean tools and Six Sigma problem solving methodologies to use data for solving complex problems
  • Influences decisions by creating a positive working relationship with all extended team members including, but not limited to Maintenance, New Product Development, Tooling, R&D teams
  • Manages/prioritizes multiple projects in a dynamic fast paced environment


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing
  • Experience using Six Sigma tools/DMAIC methodology


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience in Thin film coating process
  • Experience in CNC milling
  • Experience in Automation
  • SAP experience

Pay Range: [[123,529.98 -[[165,884.82

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
