The MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Accountant Advanced within the Office of Finance at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Creates, modifies, maintains, monitors, and reconciles detailed accounting
reports not available in our system to FMIS. These reports pertain to the
specialized types of Capital Program funding at BWI including MAA grants
and Federal pass-through payments to regional airports.
- Maintains, reports, and reconciles data as required by State and Federal
agencies on an as-needed basis. These areas include federal grants, PFC
(Passenger Facility Charge) COP (Certificate of Participation), CFC (Car
Rental Facility Charge) and other funding sources beyond the Transportation
Trust Fund that may be anticipated by MDOT from time to time.
- Analyzes requirements, applies generally accepted accounting principles,
applicable State and federal laws, regulations, and policies to design and
maintain detailed accounting systems for the preparation of reports and statements
for use by management and Capital Program managers.
This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.
