Job Summary

The Marketing Technology Leader drives efficiency and effectiveness in marketing by leveraging technology to automate tasks, optimize resources, and deliver actionable insights. This role enhances decision-making through ROI analysis, enabling strategic scaling of initiatives to maximize impact and cost efficiency.

By utilizing advanced tools (e.g. LinkedIn) for targeted messaging, this leader refines customer acquisition and retention strategies to boost engagement and conversions. Focused on innovation, they ensure the marketing organization remains agile, competitive, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Inbound strategies and technology roadmap built to drive a modern marketing team. Must be able to come in and be a change maker.

  • Email growth in core success metrics engagement, retention, upsell, cross sell, winback

  • Site growth in innovation of digital tools to drive self serve activities such as online bookings, changes, moving, etc

  • Organic growth in NA via retention and win back activities

  • Leveraging data insights that drive customer behaviors

  • Goal setting and leadership across the team to elevate talent and develop team members

Key Relationships

  • Executive Leadership Team

  • Functional teams (eg. Sales, Ops Finance, HR, IT, Marketing & Innovation, Legal, M&A etc)

  • Key suppliers, partners and consultants

  • Marketing & Innovations Teams

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Technology Understanding:

  • Advertising: advertising technology provides and way for you to access audiences that would otherwise be out of reach, e.g. leveraging technology to reach specific job titles in LinkedIn or via zoominfo

  • Analytics: will be the cornerstone of your marketing technology stack, we will leverage data within and across multiple marketing technologies to drive acquisition, retention and winback in outbound and inbound channels

  • Content Management: core to marketing abilities to sell products and / or provide value to the customer, delivering the right message at the right time, implementing an effective digital asset management system is key to extracting value from your branded content.

  • CRM: integrated into the heart of the marketing program allows for scalable retention activities, test and learn, and driving Organic Growth and ROI into the business

  • Social Media: leverages technology platforms to access multiple accounts, re-use and re-size content across different platforms

Campaign Management:

  • Developing and leading the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to drive Organic Growth for the business.

  • Leverage data in transactional, behavioral and [promotions campaigns

  • Build real time dashboards that drive reporting capabilities and ability to pivot in month to change the trajectory of the business in the inbound and outbound space

Leadership:

  • Lead a team of highly skilled digital experts, in outbound and inbound activities. Lead across the matrix of the company to ensure colleagues across functions understand the email and site roadmap.

  • Set standards for data accuracy, technology implementation, and innovation.

  • Hire, develop and training team to be leaders in the digital space

  • Goal setting and execution essential for this team as they are pivotal to the digital experience our customers feel in NA

Required Experience

  • 10+ years experience in Marketing Technology or similar function.

  • Strong leadership, influencing, and presentation skills are required.

  • Strong executive presence and oral communication skills

  • Deep knowledge of consumer-based marketing funnel, from awareness to advocacy

  • Understanding of lead creation, development, nurturing, and management.

  • Strong knowledge of marketing technology and go-to-market strategies.

  • Strong understanding of consumer market research and how to apply it to strategy

  • Superior data analytics capability. Statistical understanding a plus

  • Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Business acumen - Ability to provide leadership and direction at a cross-functional leadership level

  • Focus on consumer needs, market conditions, and competitive environment

  • Excellent organizational skills with a heightened sense of attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow for healthy internal and external relationships are a must.

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence and engage with senior leadership

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of corporate marketing and influencing key financial performance indicators including content strategies, marketing and digital content.

  • Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgment and a rigorous focus on the details

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an Economics, Marketing, Technology or a related subject

  • Master's Degree preferred
