Main Line Health's Nurse Residency Program is a year-long program designed to ease the transition to practice for the new graduate nurse in their first professional role. Emphasis is given to nursing leadership behaviors, nurse driven outcomes and professional development. The curriculum is designed to enhance the graduates' critical thinking skills and their ability to use outcome data to promote patient safety.
Through the residency program, new graduates can transition to their profession and gain valuable full-time experiences in most clinical specialties. This full-time position as a newly licensed registered nurse offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay and shift differential. Main Line Health offers all new graduates a precepted orientation which is based on the clinical specialty and the individual learning needs of the new graduate. On-going supervised training and educational opportunities are provided to the staff during this transition and after orientation. Timeline: This application will close on November 30, 2024. Start dates for candidates who are offered Nurse Resident positions will range from November 2024 to March 2025, pending an active RN license.
Department: By submitting your application to this posting, you are being considered Lankenau Medical Center's 2 South Unit which is a 19-bed Medical Step-Down unit.
Shift/Hours: 36 hours per week, varying shifts. Must be able to work night shift.
Weekend: Not to exceed every other weekend, unit specific.
Compensation: $42.00 per hour plus shift differential.
Benefits: Eligible for full time benefit coverage.
Holidays: Varied.
Qualifications
*Applicants who have graduated within the last 12 months from their nursing program and have less than one year nursing experience in a non-acute or acute care setting are welcome to apply.
