Under the general direction of the Trauma Program Manager, the registrar is responsible for data abstraction from the medical records of appropriately defined trauma patients for entry into the Alaska Trauma Registry. Registrar additionally supports report generation and data validation programs. This data is used to for injury research, epidemiology, quality improvement and to enhance trauma care delivery to our patients. This role, in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager, help monitor and coordinate trauma system elements to ensure an organized, multidisciplinary team approach in optimize the care of the trauma patient.

Required Qualifications:



  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing.
  • upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License.
  • upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • within 1 year of hire: TNCC, ATCN, ENPC, Stop the Bleed Instructor.
  • within 1 year of hire: Professional nursing certification- Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN).
  • 2 years Recent nursing experience in one or more of the following areas: Emergency Department nursing; Critical Care nursing, medivac, Pediatric Intensive Care nursing.
