The Data Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, improvement, cleaning, transforming, and movement of data related to Westinghouse's digital solutions. Daily interactions with data scientists and stakeholders are expected in order to understand and aid in the implementation of database requirements and ensure database and data pipeline health.

Who You Are:



  • Implement data schemas, stored procedures, data pipelines, and data visualization artifacts
  • Support the creation of services for optimal ingestion, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources and small to large data sets
  • Support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and API integrations to support increases in data volume and complexity
  • Clean and transform incoming data sets to support data aggregation
  • Monitor processes and systems for data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend onit
  • Support the preparation and delivery of reports to leadership on data quality.
  • Support implementation of activities to for continuous improvement
  • Transform and create ad-hoc data visualizations for use by data scientists and development teams



Who You Are:



  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of developing data schemas, stored procedures, data pipelines, and data visualization


  • Core Technical Skillset: Experience with Relational Database Management System technologies, SQL, Relational and NoSQL database, XML, JSON, and tabular data sources, understanding of ETL principles, time series data, and Python
  • Ability to develop, implement and deliver end solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, global team
