The Opportunity:

The Assistant Procurement Manager- LCL will coordinate efforts to secure
capacity at competitive rates to enable profitable growth in the US market.
The Assistant Procurement Manager- LCL will develop a category strategy
to achieve cost leadership and best-in-class service levels by collaborating
with other Procurement managers (Category Leads) as well Product
(Solutions Design/Pricing), Delivery (Operations).
This high impact role will act as change agent (orchestrator) and catalyst
for growth. Building a strong operating system to facilitate internal
collaboration and developing a strong Supplier Relationship Management
(SRM) program for export/import LCL shipping will be critical success
factors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Have a strong foundation in export/import LCL transportation
(REQUIRED)
- Knowledge of local and internation ocean processes and for LCL
processes
- Knowledge of LCL Buyer's Consolidation processes and policies
- Coordinate procurement efforts with category managers (Truck, Rail,
Etc.)
- Support Product in developing competitive supply chain solutions
- Develop and maintain a category strategy to enable exponential,
profitable growth
- Develop a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program to
ensure access to capacity at best-of-market rates

- Provide spend visibility and market intelligence to drive our
procurement efforts and go-to-market strategy
- Coordinate Request for Quotation (RFQ) events in conjunction with
other category managers and the Strategic Sourcing team in Center
- Build sophisticated Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to
benchmark solutions and suppliers across different modes of transport
- Help build strategic supplier relations and loyalty
- Collaborate with Delivery (Operations) and Maersk Brokerage to
ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Other projects as directed by senior leadership

We are looking for:

- Bachelor Degree with graduate studies (preferred)
- At least 2-3 years of experience in transportation or supply chain
- Preferred LTL/LCL Export/Import
- Prior experience in procurement or vendor management is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate and drive business outcomes in a matrix
organization
- Strategic mindset and data savvy
- Customer centricity

Job Type:

Full Time

Salary:

$60,000- $75,000

(salary range to be agreed upon with hiring manager)

Benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
