The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Procurement Manager for North America, with potential for other regions. The role focuses on efficient spending to support customers and operations by reducing expenses and promoting a savings mindset. The goal is to maintain a cost-effective, fully operational asset base. This position involves significant pressure to optimize costs and enhance supplier value, crucial for Maersk's cost leadership. You'll drive key procurement projects and contribute to Maersk's integration strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing complex procurement projects within landside transportation and equipment, container drayage, depot, supply chain, production, distribution, warehouse, customs brokering, cold chain and air etc. in the North America area, to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution.
* Managing negotiations and establishing of Service Level Agreements between Maersk Line's operation and its suppliers.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, ensuring a seamless procurement process.
* Influence team members and other departments to align with procurement strategies and goals, without direct authority over staff

* Being accountable for integrating Contract Management frameworks to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
* Performing supplier market analysis and organizing market intelligence for spend within specific sub-regions, and benchmarking Maersk cost competition and ensuring cost leadership.
* An ability to solve complex challenges through analysis and based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes, while being aware of the impact of proposed solutions outside their own immediate area.
* Responsible for supplier relationship management, building strong relations with the vendors to drive value through the supply chain.
* Some travel must be expected

We are looking for:

* At least 5 years of experience in handling Pricing and Procurement in Logistics
* At least 2 years of management experience
* Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills
* Experience in operations, sourcing, and compliance management
* Experience in implementation and utilization of RFP tools and solutions
* Experience in 4PL, Import/Export, Inland Transportation and WnD related roles is a strong plus
* Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain capacity processes across multiple modes
* Continuous improvement mindset

* Bachelor's degree preferred, High school or equivalent required

Job Type:

Full Time

Salary:

$85,000- $125,000

(salary range to be agreed upon with hiring manager)

Benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
