Job Summary:
The Communicable Disease Division of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene is seeking a Microbiologist to join the Client Services Department. The successful candidate will support specimen receiving and processing, inventory management, data entry in Epic Beaker, customer service activities, and other tasks and projects as assigned under close progression to general supervision. This position is on-site at 2601 Agriculture Drive, Madison, WI 53718. Work hours are 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday; 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM Saturdays (rotating); occasional Sundays, holidays, and additional shifts may be required in support of public health needs. Responsibilities: Performs testing services within a microbiology laboratory including human, animal, and plant diagnostics, surveillance, screening, environmental monitoring, and forensic science to report clear and concise testing results.
