Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8) Department/Organization: 510401 - Campus Support Services Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Summary: The Construction Field Coordinator performs field operations as the owners representative on multiple projects. Monitors inspections, quality, and schedule to ensure a successful completion. Coordinates owner provided vendors, contractors, government agency representatives, and consultants. Additional Department Summary: The Construction Field Coordinator will be responsible for all campus shutdowns, long-term warranty issues, Line locates, and utility marker installation. This position will oversee the shutdown process on campus. This will include shutdown all on and off campus utilities, roadways, sidewalks, etc that will impact UA. The shutdowns must be coordinated with facilities and campus partners to minimize the impact on campus. These shutdowns require numerous meetings with various campus partners to ensure their success. Position will work as liaison to campus partners to provide clear and concise notifications of these shutdowns. This position will investigate possible long-term warranty issues to verify proper repair. Position will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and manufacturers to verify repair is completed promptly with minimal impact on campus. Position will manage the utility marker program. This program requires coordinating construction activity between multiple contractors working on any specific project. These markers mark the location and direction of utilities around campus. This position will also oversee the Line Locate program. Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and some construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR high school diploma or GED and six (6) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen. Skills and Knowledge: Must have ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, using both technical and non-technical language. Must be proficient with Microsoft programs. Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years construction/facilities/maintenance experience, 7 + years preferred. Experience working with mechanical, plumbing and/or electrical systems is preferred.
