Description The Child Adolescent and Eating Disorder Psychiatry Inpatient Unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to join their department. The Child Adolescent and Eating Disorders Psychiatry Unit is a 28-bed unit comprised of three different focus areas to include 14 Adolescent, 8 Child and 6 Eating Disorders patient beds. Safety is the key component of the care provided as well as introduction of positive coping skills, healthy living and positive leisure activities. *This position qualifies for our Nursing Support Incentive Program. The Nursing Support Incentive Program includes $5,000 paid over a three (3) year commitment. Learn more about the program here: https://jobs.unchealthcare.org/pages/unc-hospitals-unc-rex-nursing-support-incentive-program This is a 36 hours per week position; working 12 hour day/night rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am) with weekend and holiday rotation. It is self-scheduling, with the manager approving the schedule base on the needs of the unit. This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package including PTO hours, which are accrued based on the number of worked hours. This position requires the ability to attend the required weeklong hospital orientation offered every two weeks. Orientation Schedule: Monday and Tuesday - In person from 8am to 4pm; Wednesday - 8am to 10am Virtual and in person from 1pm to 5 pm; and Thursday and Friday - Virtual.Summary: Provides routine direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic or home health care setting.
