JOB SUMMARY:
The Student Involvement Center at Saint Louis University is excited to open a search for the Assistant Director of Student Involvement. Ideal candidates would be those seeking to make a step into mid-level management at a college and/or university, who lead with passion and a "student first" mentality. A successful candidate would be able to incorporate these philosophies into their daily interactions with students, faculty, staff, friends and families of SLU. JOB SUMMARY Under direction of the Director of Student Involvement, the Assistant Director (AD) of Student Involvement will serve as leader within the department and be called to represent the department in the absence of the Director. The AD will supervise various aspects of the SIC portfolio such as the Fraternity and Sorority Life communities , Student Organizations, and/or Student Government. AD will also have supervisory duties including professional and paraprofessional staff members. The Assistant Director will also represent the SIC on various university-wide committees, planning teams, and/or task forces. Due to the nature of the overall operations of the SIC, this staff member will have significant administrative responsibilities with service agreements, procurement, and financial operations which support student organizations. Oversight of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) operations at the University, including over 20 chapters and four councils. This includes recruitment, the city-wide NPHC coalition, and educational initiatives including supervision of professional staff Advising and compliance support for over 200 student organizations, including but not limited to review/revision of relevant policies and procedures; evaluation of financial oversight and operations; and general training and educational initiatives. Provide advising and support as needed to the Student Government Association and its operations. Supervision of professional and paraprofessional staff in the portfolio area. Serve as a liaison between affinity and identity based organizations, their advisor(s) and SGA, providing guidance on budget management and SGA initiatives Coordinate department's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including leadership training opportunities and high-impact collaborative campus programs
SIC - Admin
Support daily operations and overall management of the Student Involvement Center Facilitate hiring process for graduate assistants, when necessary Assist with financial operations within the SIC, including but not limited to department budgeting and projections, and contract management Oversee department's event registration process for events with alcohol, as well as compliance with University's risk management and/or insurance documentation process for vendors Serve in absence of the Director Campus/Committee Memberships Represent the SIC on University committees, including but not limited to: Sexual Assault Task Force, Homecoming/Family Weekend, Parent & FamilyEngagement Maintain campus partnerships within and outside of Division of Student Development Manage requests for SIC presence and/or presentations at university functions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of the Fraternity/Sorority experience, including multicultural and identity-based organizations and councils Experience in advising student organizations Experience with policy enforcement and/or accountability processes Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written communication as well as listening Experience in planning large scale, campus-wide events with a variety of campus partners and stakeholders Ability to work with and among a diverse population and develop rapport with all members of the campus community Ability to maintain confidential and private information in a professional manner Experience supervising professional staff Ability to operate a personal computer and various software packages Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Great attention to detail Ability to work a flexible schedule
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in Higher Education Administration or related field required, with a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience working in a college/university setting. Must have professional experience in working with Greek-letter organizations. Function
