Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:



  • As an operations engineer, this position will support multiple Cryogenic plants, treating facilities, and compressor stations located throughout NW Louisiana and East Texas.
  • Work with plant and system operations personnel (daily) to help improve plant operations (troubleshooting).
  • Manage and execute plant improvement and upgrade projects including scope, design, development, cost estimate, cost forecast, material procurement, construction, and project completion.
  • Successfully manage $10 MM plant projects with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate with company operations personnel and contractors for project implementation.
  • Take part in PSM activities for area facilities. (Help maintain facility drawings, resolve PHA action items, etc.)
  • Develop process solutions while following engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen process engineering knowledge base and proficiencies.



Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Bachelor of Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineer
  • 10 years industry experience


Software Knowledge:



  • Microsoft Products
  • Engineering Programs
  • WinFlow
  • ProMax



Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.



  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently.
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
