APQP PPAP Gap Analysis - Quality Assurance

About the Role
The Lead Hybrid Electric Powertrain Engineer role will apply engineering principles to generate designs that solve complex problems. The individual will lead the development of integrated hybrid electric powertrain and power generation solutions for our wheeled and tracked vehicles.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
  • Knowledgeable about APQP PPAP AS9145 Standard or willing to be trained.
  • Knowledgeable about company processes and procedures, IPS, and Process Web page documents.
  • Primary objective of this role is to author a formal report that outlines how the company's current processes align with AS9145, determine where there are gaps, and work with SME to develop a proposed APQP strategy across the enterprise to fill those gaps while adding value and minimizing costs.
  • This role will interface with multiple functional groups including Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, Contracts, and Manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a necessity for success in this role.
  • Program management skills to manage timeline and tasks.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Able to work on tasks that are not well-defined and think creatively.
  • Prepare presentations and manage meetings regarding the progress and final document.
  • This role is primarily on-site in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Qualifications Sought
  • Must be able to communicate to all levels within the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and AS9145 preferred, but willing to train.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
