Assistant Professor in Physiology

The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology studies the functions of the living organism and how drugs and poisons affect them. Our goal is to teach and research the physiological, pharmacological, nutritional, and toxicological basis of disease and therapeutics.

Our research is far-reaching, exploring all aspects of physiology and pharmacology. From how neural pathways control energy, balance, and obesity to cell signaling in smooth muscle, the pathophysiology of vascular disease, and examining the molecular pharmacology of endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus, we are searching for solutions to some of today's most pressing issues.
