Job Description

Your role at Baxter:

The Production Scheduler plays a role in coordinating production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and contributing to efficient manufacturing operations.

Cleveland's technology and automation are groundbreaking. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility has a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, and device assembly.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review and implement production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and inventory levels.

  • Maintain and communicate any changes in BOM or new codes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and logistics to ensure production plans align with business goals.

  • Coordinate allocating production resources, including labor, machinery, and materials, to meet production targets.

  • Optimize resource utilization to enhance production efficiency.

  • Collaborate with demand forecasting teams to accurately predict customer demand and adjust production plans accordingly.

  • Maintain production flexibility to respond to changing demand patterns.

  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust production schedules to minimize excess inventory and stockouts.

  • Assist with inventory control measures to maintain accuracy.

  • Continuously analyze and optimize production schedules to improve throughput, reduce lead times, and increase efficiency.

  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and standard processes.

  • Ensure production schedules align with quality control standards and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with quality teams to maintain product quality and release date.

  • Apply sophisticated data analysis tools and techniques to analyze production data and KPIs.

  • Generate reports to monitor production performance and make data-driven decisions.

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving production, and processes, reducing waste, and enhancing efficiency.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in production scheduling or related roles, with a proven track record or increased responsibilities.

  • Proficiency in production scheduling data analysis tools ERP system.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP would be a plus

  • Problem-Solving - Identifies and resolves problems on time; Gathers and analyzes information strategically; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem-solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Safety and Security - Observe safety and security procedures; Determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; Report potentially unsafe conditions.

  • Adaptability - Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $68,000 - $93,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
