To support this, we're developing an exabyte-scale data platform that enables enterprises to:Map their digital environment: Providing visibility across all assets-devices, users, permissions, data systems, and virtual machines-allowing organizations to inventory their digital estates.Integrate and standardize security data: By pre-integrating and normalizing data from multiple sources, we make managing security logs efficient and cost-effective.Answer critical security and compliance questions: Leveraging advanced AI and machine learning, our platform empowers customers to identify patterns, detect threats, and make informed security decisions in real-time.Microsoft Security is searching for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of a core subsystem within this cutting-edge security data platform. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping technical strategy and guiding feature development, overseeing a high-caliber engineering team, and collaborating closely with product management, security experts, and other engineering groups. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and delivering a robust subsystem that meets the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability. As both a technical and people leader, you will drive innovation while ensuring alignment across teams for a successful product launch. ResponsibilitiesLead the design, implementation, and delivery of a critical subsystem, managing a team of engineers and fostering collaboration. Develop and drive the technical strategy, aligning goals and decisions with partner teams. Oversee the full feature development process, from requirements gathering to deployment. Mentor and guide engineers, ensuring technical excellence and best practices. Optimize subsystem performance to ensure scalability, availability, and security. Drive improvements by adopting new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
