Position Summary

The STERIS Information and Technology team is expanding. This is a newly created technical lead role that will partner with the business to provide solutions within the Salesforce platform that align to the needs of and contribute to the success of the business. You will also lead a team of developers, administrators, and other specialists in designing, developing, and implementing the Salesforce solutions. Qualified candidates must have experience working with Sales Cloud and/or Health Cloud and hold a Certification in Salesforce.

*This role is located onsite in Mentor, Ohio with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

What you will do as an Applications Development Lead

  • Provide the functional/technical experience and knowledge to deliver solutions that allow business partners to achieve their business strategy. Present technical alternatives and supporting recommendations aligned with the business and technology requirements. Contribute to project estimating, planning, and staffing activities. Manage technical and/or functional teams to design, build, test, and implement enterprise applications. Anticipate, raise, and resolve issues that pose risks to the project. Monitor progress and quality. Track and report status.
  • Advise on leading practices and technology/industry trends, application/integration architecture, solution design, and implementation leading practices. Build lasting relationships through day to day interactions with business partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Architect and design of scalable and highly available Salesforce based solutions via optimal and lean approach, suited for the current context. Understand and interpret requirements, create a useful model, validate, refine, and expand the model, manage the architecture. Analyze the capability of the Salesforce platform to solve the business problem, identify gaps and suggest solutions with minimum customization.
  • Develop the architecture artifacts and documentation to support business capabilities, high-level design, and detailed technical specification. May include modeling, building block design, applications design, systems integration, etc. Design and present design options/considerations. Develop proof of concept, modeling, and planning. Establish best practices around architecture, design and development. Ensuring the completeness (fitness-for-purpose) of the architecture.
  • Provide any ad hoc activities related to the projects and not limited to the above activities.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 7+ years of software development experience required.
  • 4+ years of development on cloud-based software applications required.
  • 4+ years of full life-cycle Salesforce implementations required.
  • 2+ years of development experience in Sales Cloud and/or Health Cloud required.
  • Strong expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce integrations.
  • Must have Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Health Cloud Consultant, and Salesforce Certified Platform Developer is a plus.
  • Understanding of healthcare industry standards, regulations (like HIPAA), and workflows.
  • Experienceconducting visioning sessions, gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
