OVERVIEW

This is aposition within our Engineering organization. If you are excited to work on exciting products and travel, this role is for you! You will be based out of our engineering headquarters while supporting offsite locations when needed. This position requires the ability to travel up to 70%.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Design System Engineerrole is responsible for the Booker 10 program Systems Requirements & VSW teams to meet all customers deliverable on time.
This role will with be the expert in deriving and decomposing System Level Requirements from our Customer Performance Specifications to:
  • Define and ensure traceability of the system & subsystem requirements and software requirements.
  • Work in the Requirements Configuration Management tool (e.g. DOORS).
  • Perform Functional analysis to develop flows and concepts of execution.
  • Design and develop the system & sub system performance and verification requirements and develop design verification plans & reports.
  • Ensure the system, subsystem, and component interfaces are maintained.
  • Integrate and verify the system & subsystem components in the Lab/Vehicle.
  • Define & execute system & subsystem integration, test, and verification plans.
  • Provide technical inputs to planning, schedules and cost estimates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree inElectrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years related engineering experience sought but will consider fewer years with advanced degree.
  • Experience with ensuring full compliance of system requirements from Performance Specification, down to component level testing.
  • Experience with full requirements traceability from System Requirements down to component level requirements and to verification.
  • Experience developing customer deliverables from System Requirements, that include RVTM, RCM, RTM.
  • Experience with leading a program and delivering CDRLs on time.
  • Experience in troubleshooting vehicular systems
  • Expertise in CAN and Ethernet protocols and related tools.
  • Able to work in office, shop, test lab, and test site environments, and in vehicles.
  • This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space).
  • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
  • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, or related discipline.
  • Capital Enterprise experience (or similar software tool) preferred.
  • Work experience in the Defense Industry, preferably in land-based systems and working with the US government as a customer.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required.
  • Works well in team and individually.
