Position Summary

The Senior Integration Development Engineer is an exciting senior leadership level technical position at MultiCare encompassing design, installation, support and project leadership. Moving fluidly between technical and analytical responsibilities, this role offers you dynamic and engaging day-to-day functions.

Responsibilities


  • You will develop and maintain interface code and configuration, application build and configuration, as well as database structure; assuring database integrity for all systems while maintaining standards of system interface build, HL7 standard messaging conventions, and database maintenance
  • You will identify and isolate the system, interface, and performance issues utilizing relevant technical criteria, data, critical thinking, and a methodic rule-out process
  • You will design, code and test message formats, system functions, extracts, imports, reports, conversions, interfaces, programs, etc., to meet user needs using standard tools such as TCL/TK, Korn Shell, PERL, or other applicable programming languages
  • You will maintain, enhance and modify installed interfaces and data extracts, appropriately prioritizing modifications to meet user requirements in accordance with MHS objectives and budgetary limits
  • You will assist the team with appropriate project management techniques to plan, monitor, manage and report on the implementation process and status of small projects and work activities
  • You will participate in, review, document and communicate test plans and outcomes, for system and interface modifications
  • You will participate in inter-departmental discussions to address and resolve system interface and procedural issues, providing input relative to the position and offering system solutions in the decision-making process


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering
  • An equivalent combination of additional qualifying work experience and technical certification or training may be substituted for education
  • Clinical/Financial license/Technical certification (RN, MT, RRT, CPA, MCSE, OCP, etc.) preferred
  • Previous installation experience with healthcare systems databases and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor required
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in information management, developing, implementing, operating, maintaining or using (as a "super user") systems in integrated health care delivery network including hospitals and/or clinic settings, preferred
  • Previous installation experience with healthcare systems, databases and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $107,723.00 - $148,782.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
