FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday-Friday Position Summary The Infection Prevention Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the MultiCare Health System Infection Prevention Program. This position is required to develop, analyze, and interpret a variety of information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates, requiring independent decision-making and analytical problem solving. Requirements BS, MT(ASCP) with a focus in microbiology OR Master's in public health, environmental health or other related degree ORIndustrial Hygienist, must be CIH certified or certification eligible or attain certification within six (6) months of hire Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (preferred) or attainment of certification within two (2) years of hire * Experience in Infection Prevention and Control preferred * Experience with healthcare construction, ventilation, air sampling, PPE, surveillance, and epidemiology preferred Our Values As a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration and Kindness. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $106,517.00 - $153,275.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
