We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to help drive innovation and excellence. As an engineering manager on the team, you will improve services by leveraging some of the latest innovations in Microsoft software and Azure hardware. This is a dynamic role that involves both technical knowledge and collaborative skills to contribute to the modernization and enhancement of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's cloud services.This Hybrid Position is located at our Microsoft office in Redmond, Washington. ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance.Collaborate across partner teams in Microsoft.Lead and grow a team of high performing engineers.Mentor, coach, hire, retain and grow top talent.Foster a healthy and inclusive team environment. Embody Microsoft Culture and ValuesTaking part in code reviews, both as a reviewer and a reviewee, to ensure the quality of the software and promote best practices within the team.Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.Enjoy working in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience. Dedication to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on application quality, performance, and security. Demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers. Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
