Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant for the Sentara Corporate Office in Virginia Beach!

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant performs preventive maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structures and systems. Assists in the performance of general maintenance to include floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other items. Operates hand tools and power tools safely and according to manufacturer's instructions; uses protective measures to minimize safety risks to self and others while performing job duties; maintains parts, supplies, and equipment; inspects, repairs, or replaces electrical components; monitors fire, sprinkler, and perimeter security alarm systems for abnormal conditions and responds appropriately; interfaces with building tenants on a range of issues daily.

Required Education:
High School Grad or Equivalent

Job Requirements:

  • Required: Facility Maintenance - 2 years
  • Required: Valid Driver's License
