Electrical Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for an Electrical/Maintenance Mechanic Technician to join our team of manufacturing professionals at our Algona, WA facility on our 3rd Shift. This position works Monday-Thursday10:00pm-6:30am and Friday 10:00pm010:00am.

As an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Person this candidate will be responsible to troubleshoot and repair food manufacturing equipment such as motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying equipment, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers, weld aluminum, mild, or stainless steel using Mig or Tig)
• Performs mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine repairs.
• Coordinates and completes installation and wiring of manufacturing equipment (pumps, fans, blowers and relay panels, etc.).
• Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventative maintenance.
• Detects faulty operations, defective materials, and documents and reports any and all unusual findings to the proper supervision.
• Responsible for complying to all GMP and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications acquired through a minimum of three years of experience.
• Packaging machine and food processing experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Ability to lift objects up to 100lbs., walk/stand for the majority of the work shift, and work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Possess the ability to multitask under high pressure, detail oriented, organized, and an independent decision maker.
• Ability to self-motivate and meet deadlines independently with minimal supervision.
