Position: Mold Machine Operator
Location: Hanover, PA
Pay Rate: $19.87 ($0.45 shift differential for night shift)
Shift: Rotating Night Shift. 7:00PM-7:00AM

While reporting directly to the shift supervisor, the mold machine operator is responsible for safe and effective operation of all Injection Molding machines.

What you'll be doing:

  • Checks hydraulic, electric, and mechanical gate safety of assigned mold machines at beginning of shift.

  • Monitors all machinery controls.

  • Mixes plastic and color as required and may be required to load plastic into machine hoppers.

  • Assembles and marks cartons/containers stating part and quantity and fills with manufactured parts.

  • Performs required quality checks to assure acceptable product quality.

  • Sprays molds with lubricant/release agent when required.

  • Able to start and shut down mold machines. Sprays molds when shutting down.

  • Provides training to other employees as required.

  • Conscientiously observes all safety precautions concerning operation of machines.

  • Accurate completion of all required production reports.

  • Maintains accurate downtime records by noting cycle time and cavities.

  • Reviews and understands all JSA's associated with their position.

We'd like to hear from you if:

  • 2 to 3 years operating manufacturing machinery.

  • Proficiency with basic machine shop tools.

  • Knowledge of injection molding principles.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work 12 hr. days.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers

  • Ability to relate well to others and maintain effective working relationships

  • Ability to troubleshoot and make equipment mechanical adjustments / repairs as necessary.
